Milan Chautur CSsR (born September 4, 1957 in Snina , Czechoslovakia ) is bishop of the Greek Catholic eparchy Košice .

Life

Milan Chautur was born in the eastern Slovak town of Snina in the Prešovský kraj administrative region. At the age of just 24, he was in the Congregation of the Redemptorists on 14 June 1981 for priests ordained. His appointment as auxiliary bishop of the Greek-Catholic eparchy Prešov and at the same time the appointment as titular bishop of Cresima took place on January 11, 1992. With the donation of the sacrament of consecration , his inauguration as titular bishop of Cresima was solemnly completed on February 29, 1992. Milan Chautur was appointed Bishop of the Apostolic Exarchate Košice on January 27, 1997. Since January 30th, 2008 Bishop Milan Chautur is CSsR Eparch of the new Eparchy Košice.
