Mixed milk product
A mixed milk product is a food whose ingredients consist of at least 70% dairy products and a maximum of 30% other foods.
Typical milk mix products are
- Mixed milk drinks made from milk , for example cocoa drink or strawberry milk
- Mixed milk beverages made from whey
- Fruit yogurt and drinking yogurt
- Fruit buttermilk
- Fruit kefir
Typical additives and food additives are (roughly in descending order by volume fraction)
- Sugar and fructose or sweeteners
- Fruit preparations or fresh fruits
- binder
- Fiber
- Flavors
- caffeine
- Enzymes
- Vitamins
Ice cream and sauces made from milk are not milk mix products.
Mandatory information for ingredients
The QUID regulation ( Quantitative Ingredients Declaration , Directive 97/4 / EC of the European Community ) specifies when ingredients in food are to be labeled in terms of quantity. The proportion of ingredients that are mentioned in the product name ( sales name ) or shown on the packaging must be specified. So z. B. for a strawberry yoghurt, the percentage of strawberries it contains. See also: Food Labeling Ordinance
