Mildred Griffiths

Mildred Griffiths (born January 20, 1894 in California , † May 24, 1949 in Los Angeles , California) was an American production designer who was nominated for an Oscar for best production design.

Life

Between 1943 and 1948, Mildred Griffiths worked as a production designer on the staging of thirteen films. At the 1946 Academy Awards , she was with Cedric Gibbons , Urie McCleary and Edwin B. Willis for the Oscar for best production design in the color film Little Girl, Big Heart (National Velvet, 1944) by Clarence Brown with Elizabeth Taylor , Mickey Rooney and Donald Crisp nominated.
