Milionerzy ( German: Millionär ) is a Polish game show based on the originally British format Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? , similar to the German branch Wer wird Millionär? The show is moderated by Hubert Urbański .

Production history

The first season was broadcast from September 3, 1999 to January 26, 2003, the second followed from January 19, 2008 to December 19, 2010. The broadcast was every Sunday at 6 pm ( UTC +1) on the private watch Polish television channel TVN . Producer of the first season was Endemol , following the Intergalactic. In 2017, Jake Vision became a producer.

procedure

The aim of the game is to win one million zloty by answering 12 multiple-choice questions. There are three jokers : a fifty-fifty ( Pół na pół ), an expert ( Pytanie do eksperta ) and a public joker ( Pytanie do publiczności ).

If a participant answered the second question correctly, he has already won at least 1000 zloty. If the seventh question was answered correctly, he was guaranteed 40,000 zlotys. The new rules, which came into force in March 2010, included a “swap questions joker” that the candidate received if he waived the security level of 40,000 zloty. If the candidate used the joker Zamiana pytania , he decided to swap the question asked for another question of the same level of difficulty. The candidate could not return to the previous question. With this variant with four jokers there was only one security level: 1000 zloty. The second security level at 40,000 złoty was dropped, but in return the candidate was given the fourth joker. Since February 9, 2017, the show has been on TVN from Monday to Thursday at 8:55 p.m. The rules were like in 2008: 12 questions, one million złoty, 2 security levels and the 3 traditional jokers: fifty-fifty ( Pół na pół ), telephone ( Telefon do przyjaciela ) and public joker ( Pytanie do publiczności ).

Appearance and changes in appearance

From 1999 to 2003 the studio design changed three times. For 2008 the design was changed again. The fifth studio design has been changed since 2017.

The first Milionerzy logo from 1999 was different from the standard logo. It was a purple diamond on a crown and rings on itself, against the background of the Milionerzy caption. The second, based on the traditional style, is round with a green question mark.

In the second version of Milionerzy there were twelve questions:

  1. Question: 500 zloty
  2. Question: 1000 złoty, security level *
  3. Question: 2000 zloty
  4. Question: 5000 zloty
