Milka Manewa

Milka Manewa (born June 7, 1985 in Smoljan ) is a Bulgarian weightlifter .

Career

She won the bronze medal in the class up to 63 kg at the European Championships in 2008 . Shortly before the 2008 Olympic Games, she was tested positive for metandienone in a doping control and banned for four years. After her suspension, she competed in the 2012 Olympics and finished second, but only due to a few doping cases from female athletes who were placed in front of her. In 2013 she became European Champion and in 2014 Vice-European Champion. In 2015, however, she was tested positive for stanozolol during a training check shortly before the European Championships, as were ten other members of the Bulgarian national team and banned for 18 months.
