The Millmoor is a football stadium in Rotherham , United Kingdom . Until the 2007/08 season, the stadium served the games of Rotherham Uniteds until a conflict over participation rights followed that the club moved to Don Valley Stadium in nearby Sheffield .

The stadium was built in 1907 on the site of a flour mill and currently has a capacity for around 8,300 spectators. According to plans for expansion, the wooden main stand that was built in the 1950s was to be replaced with a new one that would have brought the stadium's capacity back to 10,000. Due to numerous setbacks, however, this could not be completed and the construction work was canceled. In May 2011 the Rotherham Titans rugby club showed interest in using the Millmoor for their games. After much speculation, however, they announced that they would stay in their current stadium, Clifton Lane.

On September 22, 2007, in the game against Notts County , Rotherham United celebrated 100 years at Millmoor. The game ended 1: 1 with Peter Holmes scoring the goal for the hosts. The anniversary was celebrated with hundreds of balloons and numerous raffles.

After negotiations with the stadium owner, Ken Booth, collapsed, Rotherham United left the stadium and played home games for the Don Valley in Sheffield until 2012 before moving to the New York Stadium in 2012 . The Millmoor itself has not been used since 2008.
