Millstreet County Park
The Millstreet County Park is a 203 hectare park 644 m high Musheramore a mountain of Boggeragh Mountains in County Cork in Ireland . The Tuairin Na mBlath visitor center is named after the old Irish name of the village. Stations in the park, which is also a water and flower garden and zoo, are:
- A radial stone circle from the Bronze Age , a special feature among the stone circles of the Cork Kerry series .
- A stone setting or the rest of a wedge tomb characteristic of the area
- Boulders of glacial of red sandstone , the differently colored braids (lichen) are coated. Also epiphytes , a symbiotic relationship between fungi and algae can be found in 23 variants in the park.
- Fulacht fiadh are cooking areas made of stone and wood elements from the Bronze and Iron Ages
- The shepherd's hut was originally thought to be a stone circle. However, it turned out to be a shepherd's shelter made of dry stone masonry .
- The hedge school was behind the big rock. Irish teachers could only afford to illegally teach those students who could pay as a result of the Penal Laws .
