Miloš Šestić (born August 8, 1956 in Milosavci near Banja Luka , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Yugoslav football player .

Player career

Šestić began his professional career in 1976 at Red Star Belgrade . By 1984 he won the Yugoslav Championship four times and the Yugoslav Cup once. During his time at Red Star, he was appointed by national coach Miljan Miljanić to the squad for the 1982 World Cup in Spain , where Yugoslavia was eliminated in the group stage. Šestić was used twice. The same fate he felt at the 1984 European Championship in France when Yugoslavia failed again in the group stage: Šestić played again twice, but this time he scored one goal. At the end of 1984 he moved to Greece to Olympiacos Piraeus , which he left again in the summer of 1986 to return to his homeland. Šestić signed with Vojvodina Novi Sad . After two more years he went to FK Zemun , from which he moved to OFK Belgrade after one season . His last position as a professional was FK Zeleznik .

Šestić was also a member of the Yugoslav selection, 1980 in Moscow at the Olympic football tournament took part and finished fourth.
