Milward Patch is a kelp- overgrown shoal off the northwestern tip of South Georgia . It is located 1.5 km north of the eastern part of Bird Island .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it in 1930 and named it after C. A. Milward, chief officer aboard the ship RRS William Scoresby in the survey work required for the mapping.
