Mimi (doll)
The city goose Mimi is a clamshell doll known from the ORF television programs Am dam des , Confetti TiVi and Mimi's Schnattershow . It is played and spoken by Christine Rothstein .
Mimi, created by Arminio Rothstein in 1980, was first used for an adaptation of the Hauff fairy tale The Dwarf Nose . Since then it has also been an integral part of the ORF children's programs.
After appearing at Am dam des , together with Stefan Fleming , she moderated the follow-up “Raus mit Stefan”, in which the two travel to interesting places from all over Austria and report on them. From 1997 the kids-com “ Mimis Villa Schnattermund ” replaced this format, where the coexistence of Mimi and her friends Roman, Markus, Ingrid, Grissi, Kurt, Oliver and Enrico is shown. From 2002 to 2004 she got her own TV show - " Mimis Schnattershow " - in which she explains interesting facts from all over the world to children of kindergarten and preschool age. Between 2004 and 2008 she could be seen in the “ Circus um Confetti ”, where she experienced a lot of exciting things together with Mr. Mitterhuber , Confetti, the rabbit Schuschu, the dog Bobo and the Wuscheln.
In 2002 the Austrian Post issued a stamp with her portrait .
