Mina Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 美 南 , Tanaka Mina ; born April 28, 1994 in Thailand ) is a Japanese soccer player . Her father is Japanese and her mother is Thai.
Club career
Tanaka came to soccer through her older brother. In 2011 she moved to NTV Menina , the second team from NTV Beleza . In 2012 she was promoted to the first team. She played her first game for NTV Beleza in the Nadeshiko League on May 3, 2011 against Okayama Yunogo Belle . Her first goal was on August 14, 2011 against Fukuoka J Anclas .
National team
Tanaka began her international career in 2010 when she was used in three of six games at the 2010 U-17 World Cup and scored one goal. She was part of the squad of the Japanese U-20 national team that took part in the U-20 World Cup in Japan in 2012 .
In February 2013 she was appointed to the senior squad for the first time, which participated in the 2013 Algarve Cup . On March 8, 2013, she was in the starting line-up in the second group game against Germany and so came to her first appearance. In the final group game against Denmark she was substituted on in the 70th minute and in the match against China in the second half.
After she was not nominated for the East Asian Women's Football Championship in 2013 , she came back to a brief assignment on September 26, 2013 in the second of the two friendly matches against Nigeria, for which a total of 41 players were nominated.
In 2018 she won the Asian Cup with the national team, playing in two group games and the semi-finals and scoring the last goal in the first group game in a 4-0 win against Vietnam three minutes after being substituted on.
