The fourth women 's East Asian Cup , officially EAFF Women's East Asian Cup 2013 , was held in South Korea in 2013 . Four teams from the East Asian region qualified for the finals. Of these, Japan , North Korea and South Korea already set. China was able to qualify in a qualifying tournament held in November 2012 as the fourth team, in which Australia participated for the first time. In a pre-qualification on Guam, the Hong Kong team prevailed against the teams from Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

The qualifying round was played out in a group phase. The winner qualified for the final round. The East Asian champions will also be determined through group matches.

venue

The qualifiers for the first round were played at the Leo Palace Resort in Yona , Guam . The second round matches were played at the Shenzhen Stadium in Shenzhen , People's Republic of China .

mode

Each team played once against each other team in the group in the respective group stage. A win was rated with three points, a tie with one point. If two or more teams have the same points, the following criteria are decisive:

  1. better goal difference;
  2. higher number of goals scored;
  3. higher number of points from games between teams with equal points and goals;
  4. better goal difference from these games;
  5. higher number of goals scored from these games;
  6. Drawing of lots.

Finals

The final round took place parallel to the men's tournament, with the first four games taking place in the same stadium before the men's games. In contrast to the men's tournament, the squads for the women's tournament had the best available players at the moment.
