Mind's Eye is a Swedish metal band .

history

The band was founded in 1992 under the name Afterglow by Daniel Flores ( drums , keyboards ), Daniel Palmqvist ( guitar ), Robert Forse ( vocals ) and Fredrik Grünberger (guitar).

In 1996 the band released their demo CD called Afterglow .

A year later, when singer Robert Forse was replaced by Andreas Novak, the band released their debut album, Into the Unknown . Fredrik Grünberger was later replaced by Johan Niemann on guitar. Into the Unknown was produced by Sensory Records and distributed by Century Media in the USA and Germany .

In 1999 the band released their second album, Waiting for the Tide , on their own label Round Records .

In 2000 Johan Niemann left the band to try his luck with Therion , but returned a year later at the request of the band.

In 2001, the band released their third album, The Work of Art, in August 2001. Two months earlier, the band signed with Rising Sun Productions (including Angra , Black Symphony and Dreamscape ).

Singer Novak released his first solo album in 2004, which was produced by Flores. With Lion Music, the band found a label that re-released the last two albums.

In 2006 the band released their fourth album, Walking on H2O . A Gentleman's Hurricane was released a year later . This was published in Europe and Japan .

In 2008 the album Afterglow was re-released .
