style

Based on their almost exclusively electronic equipment, which is geared towards studio productions, Mind Reflection's musical style can be described as Synth Pop , whereby combinations of the most varied of sounds with electronic beats are not uncommon. Among other things , tracks that have become known on the Internet can be attributed to the genres dance and trance . The concept of Mind Reflection is primarily based on a modern acoustic representation of emotions and attitudes towards life , regardless of a particular style . The band has not performed publicly since 1995.

Band history

The project was founded by Markus Bryner (born December 26, 1975 in Zurich ), who created his first electronic compositions in 1992 and turned to studio music as a part-time job in 1994 .

In 1995 the project took shape with the participation of the trained electronics technician Christian Laudan. Laudan brought his experience as a former DJ as well as the technical skills in building the studio, he is also the production manager.

In 1998 the only album "This World" was released to date , which expresses the subject of social contradictions. This results in a single license for a compilation of Dance - Labels , which is never published. Since Mind Reflection has a rather negative attitude towards mass productions and the exploitation of musicians by the music companies , a contract with a publisher is never concluded. Instead, they published their works on the Internet in 2000 via the independent and at that time world's largest music platform MP3.com . Songs like “In The Night” or “Change” bring the band to the top of the electronic charts at times . Due to the large internet presence there are various contacts to foreign musicians. As a result, further vocal works with Sherreece ( USA ), Digital Explosion ( Finland ) and Akiko Toya ( Japan ) emerged as a joint project .

In 2002 the singer Murielle Pastier joined Mind Reflection, and for the first time consistently sung songs were created.

After the closure of Mp3.com in 2003, Mind Reflection became quieter. Since then, they have mainly been working on the further development of their overall concept. New publications have therefore become a rarity and their songs can only be found on various small music portals today.

There was also a band from Augsburg called Mind Reflection who made progressive metal. These have already dissolved and there is only one demo and one maxi.
