Mindaugas Lošys

Mindaugas Lošys is a Lithuanian lawyer, attorney , former judge and chairman of the Supreme Court of Lithuania .

Life

In Soviet Lithuania , Lošys graduated from Vilnius University with a law degree . He served in various judicial and law enforcement agencies. Until 1973 he was a member of the Supreme Court. At the time, there was bullying because of his social background and he was forced to leave office. From 1974 he worked as a lawyer . Until 1990 he was a member of the Presidium of the Lithuanian Bar College and chaired the Methodological Committee of the Lithuanian Bar College.

From 1990 to 1992 he held the post of judge and member of the presidium of the Supreme Court of Lithuania as well as the president of this court. Lošys organized a new Lithuanian Supreme Court. In 1994, as head of the Supreme Court, he gave instructions to the Lithuanian Minister of Internal Affairs regarding the execution of the death sentence.

From 1995 Lošys worked as a lawyer again. He registered his own law firm in Vilnius .

Lošys is the representative of Tarandė Municipality , Vilnius .
