Hontheim is located in the valley of the Mönbach, which flows through the village. The district road 110 and the state road 17 also run through the locality. In the south the village borders on the neighboring village of Sellerich.
history
Between 1933 and 1945, the Hontheim Reich Labor Camp existed north of the town . From 1935, young men had to do a labor service there before doing military service. From around 1939 women also had to do labor. Only the entrance gate remains.
