Sellerich on the edge of the Schneifel is a municipality in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the community of Prüm .
Community structure
In addition to the village of Sellerich, the municipality of Sellerich also includes the districts of Herscheid , Hontheim and Sellericherhöhe, as well as the Schneifelhaus and Schnee-Eifel-Hof residential areas .
history
Sellerich is first mentioned in a document in 1068 as Selrike . Until the end of the 18th century, Sellerich belonged to the Prüm Abbey . After the French occupation, the place came under Prussian administration and was added to the Prüm district. The Second World War led to the almost complete destruction of the place due to fierce fighting.

Municipal council
