The village of Seiwerath is located in the Prümer Kalkmulde region, which still belongs to the Eastern Eifel , the southern municipal area is already on the "Lascheider plateau" in the Western Eifel . On Easter Monday, Seiwerath is the destination of the Schönecker Eierlage , an Easter tradition documented since 1764, but probably much older.
