Neuendorf is a municipality in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the community of Prüm .

history

Documents about the origin of the hamlet have not survived. The name Neuendorf has only been traceable since the 16th century.

The vernacular reports that the neighboring village of Neuendorf was founded at the same time as Neuenstein Castle was built near Ormont . In the Middle Ages, Neuendorf was property of Prümer , which was given as a fief to the Counts of Manderscheid-Blankenheim .

Economy and Infrastructure

Neuendorf is located on the north-eastern edge of the community of Prüm. It is 10 km to the middle center of Prüm. Landstrasse 23 runs through the village.

A campsite and a motorbike guesthouse with restaurants are located in the village.

One of the best-known family businesses in the Eifel is HEIKO - the mobile food markets. HEIKO is Germany's largest mobile food service.
