Tarandė
Tarandė is a district of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , next to Pašilaičiai , south of Avižieniai village . It belongs to the Pašilaičiai District of the Municipality of Vilnius . The Tarandė flows through the village . Tarandė is located northwest of the city center. There are a number of individual private houses here, a fish smokehouse . Until the First World War there was the old cemetery here. In the new quarter, two apartment buildings with 24 apartments (the project worth 1.25 million euros) were built in 2017.
Politician Artūras Paulauskas (acting Lithuanian president), who illegally extended the fence of the property, lives here, a fine was imposed in 2001 for this. The district was created as part of the village Tarandė in the district Avižieniai the Vilnius District Municipality .
