Tuskulėnai is a district of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , not far from the city center between Žirmūnai and Antakalnis on the right bank of the Neris . The area belongs to the Žirmūnai district of the Vilnius municipality . The estate that was formerly located here has been known since the 16th century. He was nationalized in Soviet Lithuania in 1944 . 1944–1947 724 tortured NKVD victims (559 of them Lithuanians, 18 Latvians, 9 Ukrainians and 38 Germans) were buried here. The mass grave was located in 1994.

The Culture and Sports Palace of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior was located in Tuskulėnai .
