Šiaurės miestelis (Eng. 'Northern Town') is a district in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . It is located between Žirmūnai and Šnipiškės in the administrative district of Žirmūnai . The district was used as a military area in Tsarist Russia and the Soviet Union in the 19th century . Now there are many newly built apartment buildings here, the technology park (since 2011), the Vilnius department of the Lithuanian Employment Agency , the Ogmios miestas shopping center .
