Minden History Society

The historical association for the district of Minden-Lübbecke eV is a historical association in the East Westphalian city ​​of Minden . The aim of the association is to research the history of the city of Minden and the regional environment. It deals with the area of ​​the former Principality of Minden , which roughly corresponds to today's Minden-Lübbecke district .

The association was founded in 1922, in the meantime it was called the Minden History and Museum Association . One of the co-founders was Hjalmar Kutzleb .

Publications

The association publishes the announcements of the Minden History Association as well as monographs on historical topics annually .

History award

The history prize of the Mindener Geschichtsverein, endowed with 2500 euros, for particularly outstanding scientific work that has rendered outstanding services to the history of the Duchy of Minden or the Minden-Lübbecke district, has been awarded every three years since 2001.
