The Mineralölwirtschaftsverband e. V. (MWV) represents the political and economic interests of the mineral oil industry in Germany. He advocates energy legislation with a sense of proportion, taking into account the three main goals of the energy policy triangle: environmental compatibility - affordability - security of supply.

For its member companies, the MWV follows federal and state legislation, conducts public relations, contributes the industry's expertise and develops future prospects for it.

The MWV is a member association of the Federal Association of German Industry and the institutionalized interest group for mineral oil companies in Germany . Christian Küchen has been the general manager since 2015.
