The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology ( Ministry of Higher Education and Reserach, MoHERST ), or shortly Science Ministry is a ministry of the government of the West African country Gambia .
Location and description
The headquarters of the Ministry is on the Bertil Harding Highway in the New-Futurelec-Building, in Kotu , ( Kanifing Municipal ).
The Ministry of Science is responsible for higher education , research and science in The Gambia.
history
From the original Ministry of Education , a separate Ministry for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology was created in 2007 for higher education , research and science in Gambia.
Until mid-2009, the name was Gambia Department of State for Basic & Secondary Education (DoSBSE) .
