The Miraphone eG is the leading manufacturer of high-quality brass instruments .

history

Miraphone has its roots in Graslitz in Bohemia . Ten musical instrument factories took over a leading position in the export of brass instruments in the 19th century. This era came to an end with the end of the Second World War . Thirteen instrument makers of this epoch founded the “Productive Cooperative of Graslitzer Musikinstrumentenerzeuger eGmbH” in Waldkraiburg in Upper Bavaria on October 13, 1946 . Initially, the focus was on repairs to brass instruments.

In 1947 it was decided to build a new instrument. The current trademark appeared for the first time a year later. In the following years the demand for instruments increased, and through collaboration with well-known artists, the company became the market leader.

In 1983 a new manufacturing facility was built which, in addition to production and raw material storage, also houses a development department with computer-aided measuring stations. The individual work steps are coordinated by a sophisticated production, planning and control system.

Today the company is one of the largest instrument manufacturers in the world. Important decisions are made jointly in the cooperative; the participation of external investors is excluded. In addition to strong identification with the company, the highest level of motivation is achieved in this way.
