Mirco Gennari (born March 29, 1966 ) is a former football player from San Marino .

Career

Gennari completed a total of 48 missions (20 World Cup qualifiers, 25 European Championship qualifiers, 3 friendly matches) for the San Marino national soccer team . He played his first international game on February 19, 1992 in Cesena against Italy (0: 4). For the last time he was used on September 6, 2003 in Gothenburg against Sweden (0: 5). Gennari was his country's record player until February 11, 2009, when Damiano Vannucci replaced him with his 49th appearance as record holder.

The high point of his career was the World Cup qualifier against Turkey on March 10, 1993 in Serravalle . The game ended in a surprising 0-0 draw; it was the only match involving Gennari that San Marino did not lose, and it is the first competitive game in which San Marino did not concede a goal.
