Miriam Locher

Miriam Locher (born July 6, 1982 in Basel ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ). Since January 1, 2016, she has been parliamentary group president of the SP Baselland .

biography

Miriam Locher grew up in Münchenstein and still lives there today. She has been politicizing there since 2006 as a member of the community commission and since 2009 as co-president of the local SP section.

Locher is a kindergarten teacher and works in Aesch .

In 2014, Locher moved to the district administrator of the canton of Basel-Landschaft for the resigning Daniel Münger , where she now represents the SP for the constituency of Münchenstein-Arlesheim together with Adil Koller . In February 2015 she was re-elected with the third-best election result in the constituency. In the district elections in 2019, Locher was re-elected with the best result in the constituency.

On December 3, 2015, the SP parliamentary group of the Basel district administrator elected Miriam Locher as the new parliamentary group president. She replaced Kathrin Schweizer .
