Miroljub Jevtić

Miroljub Jevtić (* 1955 in Vranje , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian political scientist and university professor at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Belgrade .

He graduated from the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade , received his Master's degree from the Belgrade Faculty of Law with a research on “The Islamic Position on War and the Role of the Islamic Conference in Keeping Peace” and his doctorate from the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade with a dissertation on “Jihad and War in the Present”. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the journal "Religionspolitologie", which is the first publication organ worldwide that is dedicated to the publication of works from this discipline. The first issue of the magazine was published in February 2007 by the "Center for the Study of Religion and Religious Tolerance".

Research and Teaching

Jevtić wrote the first monograph, which deals with the understanding of jihad in the geographic area between Varna on the Black Sea coast in Bulgaria and Sežana in Slovenia near the Italian border. Miroljub Jevtić introduced the subject "the first in Eastern Europe political science of religion a" in the political science teaching. He coined the term "white al-Qaeda".
