Miroslav Šola

Miroslav Šola (born October 13, 1968 in Kakanj , Yugoslavia , now Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a former Yugoslav football player.

Life

Šola began his career in his hometown club FK Rudar Kakanj before joining the youth of the traditional Bosnian club NK Celik Zenica. There Šola went through all youth teams before making the leap into the professional squad. There he made his debut at the age of 17. Due to his performance in the professional league, he quickly became an A-youth national player. There he was used 17 times and scored 6 goals.

Due to the emerging war , the then 19-year-old fled to Herne with his parents and siblings . There he started playing soccer again at Blau Weiß Börnig. After only one successful year, Šola moved to SC Constantin in the national league. In 1991 he moved to the 2nd team at VfL Bochum . Due to many injuries and private problems at home, Šola decided to go back home for half a year. After returning to Germany, he played for SV Sodingen and later for Westfalia Herne .

At the age of 34, the "Bosnia bomber" ended his career and played as a reservist for FC Neuruhrort. Miroslav Šola has two children and lives in Herne.
