Miroslav Kouřil (born November 16, 1960 in Zábřeh ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach .

Club career

Kouřil played for Slavia Prague from 1985 to 1987 , then for three years with Sigma Olomouc . In the first Czechoslovakian league, the striker completed a total of 129 games in which he scored 25 goals. From 1990 to 1993 he played in Cyprus and then returned to Olomouc , but only made six first division appearances. In the summer of 1994 he moved to the Cypriot second division club Evagoras Paphos .

Coaching career

Kouřil began his coaching career in 1999/00 at TJ Hodolany, an Olomouc district club, in the 5th division. The following year he trained Rostex Vyškov. From 2001 to 2003 he was assistant coach at the then second division team SK LeRK Prostějov . for the 2003/04 season he was head coach there, he was fired during the winter break. In the summer of 2004 he went as an assistant to 1. FK Drnovice , in October 2005 he became the main coach in charge and led the team to stay in the second division.

In the 2006/07 season Kouřil coached the third division Fotbal Fulnek . He won the championship with the team, but was dismissed before the last matchday. In September 2007 he took over the coaching position at the second division Fotbal Třinec .
