Fotbal Fulnek is a Czech football club from Fulnek in northern Moravia . The club has been promoted year after year since 2004 and played in the 2nd Czech division from 2007 to 2009 .
Club history
The association was founded in 1947. In Czechoslovakia, the club was under the patronage of the local washing machine manufacturer ROMO , was called TJ ROMO Fulnek and played no role in national football.
That changed at the beginning of the 21st century. Washing machine manufacturer ROMO went bankrupt and withdrew from supporting the association. The entrepreneur Roman Mroček became a patron and sponsor of the club, which was now called TJ Fulnek.
In the 2003/04 season the team rose from the sixth class 1. A třída , a year later the team then celebrated promotion to the fourth class Divize . There too, Fulnek was champion and played in the MSFL, the third highest Czech division, in 2006/07.
Before the season, the football department was spun off from the overall sports club TJ Fulnek and an independent club called Fotbal Fulnek was founded. The soccer field received a grandstand for 500 spectators and was expanded so that it met the criteria for the 2nd league .
With some former first division players , including Radek Slončík , Michal Kovář and Jiří Kowalík , the team won the MSFL and rose to the 2nd division, from which the team had to relegate at the end of the 2008/09 season. In the 2009/10 season Fulnek got into financial difficulties and stopped playing after the first half of the season. All results of the club were canceled.
