Mirto Davoine , full name Mirto Lenín Davoine Genta , (born February 13, 1933 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

society

Defensive player Davoine was from 1949 to 1957 in the ranks of Club Atlético Peñarol . In 1949, 1951, 1953 and 1954, the Aurinegros won the Uruguayan championship in the Primera División . Davoine, however, is listed for the first time in the 1952 season as a player in the starting eleven, in which he held the position of left defender ("Back izquierdo"). His partner in defense that year was Joel Romero . In 1953 and 1954 he formed the defender couple as a regular with Francisco Vanoli . 1955, 1956 and 1957 alternated at his side on the position of right-back Vanoli and William Martínez . In the 1960/61 and 1961/62 seasons he played in Spain for RCD Mallorca . He was used nine times in the first season and six times in the second. Other sources indicate ten games for the first season.

National team

Davoine was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He took part in the 1954 World Cup with Celeste . In the course of the tournament, however, he was not used.
