Erasmus Medal

The Erasmus Medal is the Academia Europaea's highest award . It is awarded annually for long-term, outstanding scientific achievements and is associated with an honorary membership in the academy and an honorary lecture at the annual conference of the academy. The award is (as of 2014) sponsored by the Heinz Nixdorf Foundation .
