Mitsuteru Watanabe ( Japanese 渡 辺 光輝 , Watanabe Mitsuteru ; born April 10, 1974 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Watanabe learned to play football on the school team at Hamamatsu Nishi High School and the university team at Waseda University . He signed his first contract with Kashiwa Reysol in 1997 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1999 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club he completed 136 first division games. In 2004 he moved to league rivals Gamba Osaka . In 2005 he won the J.League Cup with the club. With the club he became Japanese champion in 2005. For the club he completed 41 first division games. In 2006 he moved to the second division Yokohama FC . At the end of 2006 he ended his career as a football player.
