The Freiburg Medieval Torture Museum at the Münster was a museum in Freiburg im Breisgau . It was located at Münsterplatz 12 next to the Archbishop's Palace, in the "Haus zum Lichtstock" from 1457. It existed from 1999 to autumn 2006. The operators were Lenny Vries and Christel Dattler. It was closed for financial reasons. In the direct successor it was used as a tea and chocolate house. The majority of the exhibits were from the time of the witch hunt , the Freiburg witch hunt reached its peak between 1550 and 1628.
