Middle bush
The Mittlere Busch (also Mittelbusch ) is a hallway and a residential area in the south of the independent city of Worms in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The Middle Bush lies between Bundesstraße 9 in the west and the Rhine in the east south of the Bürgerweide , from which it is separated by the Eckbach . South bordering Upper bush to the west of about Bobenheim-Roxheim belonging nuns Busch .
In the northern part of the Middle Bush there are remains of alluvial forest , the remaining area is used for agriculture, mainly as arable land and in the foreland as extensive grassland . After the old forester's house in Worms in the northern area of the corridor for the "Flood Retention Worms-Mittlerer Busch" system was demolished in 2005 , the living space still consists of the house of a former farm.
The entire area is part of the conservation area Rheinhessisches Rhine area .
Origin of name
The designation "Busch" refers to the bushy alluvial forest areas along the Rhine before the Rhine was straightened in the 19th century, the location information "middle" to the location to the city center, whereby the "Lower Dalberger Busch" in the area of the Bürgerweide is closest to the city and the "Upper Bush" was furthest away.
