Moʻungaʻone (also: Mangone , Mougaone ) is an island in the north of Haʻapai in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga . The island has about 90 residents.
geography
The Motu is located on the northwestern edge of the lagoon of the Lifuka archipelago and is part of Ha`ano . In the north is the next island Ofolanga with the place Puleieia at the northern tip of the archipelago. To the east, the nearest island is Luahoko in the center of the lagoon.
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Ha'apai group, Mo'unga'one is occasionally hit by cyclones .
