The Moby Dick is a single - passenger ship of the Berlin Reederei Stern and Kreisschiffahrt GmbH. The design is based on a whale , the large, stylized tail fin and the large whale mouth, which is reinforced with teeth and in which passengers can also linger, stand out.

Moby Dick was built in 1972 at the Büsching & Rosemeyer shipyard in what is now the Uffeln district of the East Westphalian town of Vlotho . The ship can be seen in the film Portrait of a Drinker (1979).
