Modern Day Babylon , also known as MDB, is a Czech music project founded by guitarist Tomáš Raclavský.

history

Modern Day Babylon consists of the guitarist Tomáš Raclavský (* 1987) from Ústí nad Labem , the drummer Petr Hataš (* 1994) from Pilsen and the bassist Marek Mrvik (* 1994) from Ústí nad Labem. At the beginning, Modern Day Babylon was Raclavský's solo project. Mrvik and Šeminský joined Raclavský before the release of their debut album The Manipulation Theory . In 2011, the trio received the “Newcomer of the Year Award” and the “Mini Album of the Year Award”, which is presented by the “Britva Award” - an association of various Czech media. In the same year The Manipulation Theory was voted 17th in the “ got-djent.com Top 20 Realeses” of the year. Once released, the trio were given the opportunity to play at Tech Fest in the UK . In October 2012, Modern Day Babylon released the single Differential , which also featured British singer Maxi Curnow. In 2013 the album Travelers made it to number 5 of the "got.djent.com Top 20 Realeses". In the same year, the former bassist Mrvik was replaced by the current bassist Kuncincky, as Mrvik could not find enough time for the project. In 2014, Šeminský was replaced by Hataš.
