Kevin Costner & Modern West is an American band. The formation is fronted by actor Kevin Costner .
history
The band was founded in 2005. After the band went on their first world tour in October 2007 , they released their debut album Untold Truths in 2008 . This was followed in 2010 by the album Turn It On , with which the band again went on tour. With the new album, Kevin Costner & Modern West also made it into the album charts in German-speaking countries.
Although the band is often referred to as a country music band, their repertoire is more 1980s-style rock.
“We just made the mistake of using the word 'West' in the band name. Which is why people automatically think it's country. And our record company has not done anything about it so far, because in this industry you just tend to give someone a short description ... Which is not fair to us. "
