Mohammad Alwahibi
Mohammad Alwahibi (* 1947 in Nasir al-Din, Tiberias, Palestine ; † August 14, 2015 in Berlin ) was a Palestinian-Syrian artist.
Life
Alwahibi lived in Syria from 1948, due to the expulsion of the Palestinians in the Palestinian War . There he attended UNRWA elementary and middle school in the refugee camp as well as the Second Arab Leader School and received his high school degree in 1965. He then studied education in Aleppo until 1968 . From 1979 to 1984 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Damascus . In 1984 he completed courses in porcelain painting in Remscheid. He lived in Germany from 2014.
Act
After studying pedagogy, he took art classes in Syrian schools for eleven years. In 1997 he taught ceramic technologies at the Art Institute in Damascus. Between 1990 and 2007 he continued to teach art in schools for Palestinian orphans. From 1982 to 1985 he also worked as artistic director for the children's newspaper Al Tala'ee . Alwahibi designed a program for Syrian television with the aim of promoting the arts for children. Alwahibi took part in group exhibitions in America, France, Syria, Greece, Finland, Italy, Venezuela, Lebanon, Yemen and Germany.
