The Molnar Rocks are a group of island-like reef rocks off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the Biscoe Islands archipelago , they are 6 km west of the center of Lavoisier Island .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped them using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the US physiologist George William Molnar (1914–1993), who had studied the influence of cold on the human organism.
