Mona Ray
Mona Ray (born January 17, 1905 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania as Mona Kelly , † July 3, 1986 in Nevada ) was an American actress .
Live and act
She made her film debut in the 1927 film Uncle Tom's Hut in the role of Topsy, directed by Harry A. Pollard . So-called blackfacing was carried out for the film . Other films followed, most recently she could be seen in The Art of Burlesque in the role of Lotta Class.
Her sister was the actress Judy King (1901-1987). From 1928 to 1945 she was married to the screenwriter Hugh Cummings (1891-1953). The marriage ended in divorce. She later married Raymond A. Pestana.
