action

Shortly after the end of the Second World War in Germany. Eight-year-old Pimmi and her 15-year-old sister Nauka are girls from the Roma minority who lost sight of their families during a police raid on the quarry, where their group camped. An adventurous search for her relatives begins. Pimmi trusts that the moon will show them the way.

First they find the old Panelon who is looking for the red rocks. They learn something about the fate of his family during the National Socialist occupation in France. Then Mateo, the son of Panelon, joins them and tells them that the men of the group have been released. You reach the common campsite and make your way to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer for the pilgrimage to the Black Sara . After many difficulties and adventures, Nauka finally marries the puppeteer Mateo.
