Margot Mahler
Margot Mahler von Diringshofen (born September 24, 1945 in Straubing , † September 27, 1997 in Munich ; born Margot Huber ) was a Bavarian folk actress .
Life
The trained bank clerk and secretary took acting lessons from Christa Berndl . In 1967 she got her first engagement at the Studiobühne Munich, there among other things as Jacquenette in Shakespeare's Lost Laboratory . Later she worked mainly on the small comedy , the Baierischen Raritätentheater and the small stage Schwabing.
Mahler's film career began in the late 1960s with supporting roles in shallow comedies, including When the Great Aunts Come with Rudi Carrell and Ilja Richter . Then she could be seen for about a decade, mainly in Lederhosen films like Die liebestollen Lederhosen . Increasingly, she also appeared in the successful comedy nobility of Bayerischer Rundfunk and in numerous television series, including the Royal Bavarian District Court , Munich Stories , Kanal fatal and Meister Eder and his Pumuckl .
Margot Mahler, who also worked as a writer for the theater, was known for her naive, childlike expression and her shrill organ. She played her last roles in 1997 in the film Muttertag and alongside Ottfried Fischer in Der Bulle von Tölz . A short time later she died of cancer . She was buried in the New South Cemetery in Munich (grave no. 301-U1-43a). She was married to the musician Dieter von Diringshofen until her death.
