Death in Lingerie is a German television film by Wigbert Wicker from 1998 based on a script that he wrote together with Hans-Jörg Weyhmüller . It is the 14th episode of the crime series Der Bulle von Tölz with Ottfried Fischer as the main actor in the role of Chief Inspector Benno Berghammer. It was first broadcast on March 1, 1998 on Sat.1 .

Forest workers find a female corpse with a large laceration on the back of the head in front of a chapel in the Münsingen Forest; The location and injuries suggest a homicide. The victim is Erika Leonberger, the wife of the freight forwarder Michael Leonberger, who reported her missing. The commissioners Benno Berghammer and Sabrina Lorenz find the visiting card of a lawyer in their handbag from whom they learned that his client wanted to get a divorce. She gave her lawyer a room in the "Haus Berneck" guesthouse as the new address.
The establishment turns out to be a kind of brothel, but Erika Leonberger only had one “customer”: Erwin Haller, architect and co-owner of “Haus Berneck”. When the commissioners dig a little deeper, it turns out that Police Chief Matern is also a partner. When asked about this, he is initially upset about the interference in his private affairs, but when he learns of the real use of the property, he demands his money back from the group of investors.
Michael Leonberger comes under suspicion because, according to the tachograph, he was driving his truck late in the evening to look for his wife, although she often stayed overnight because of her new place of residence.
The pharmacy owner Stahl, who also frequented a room in "Haus Berneck", said that Erika Leonberger was afraid of her devout mother because divorce was taboo for her.
Commissioner Berghammer's mother, Resi, visits State Secretary von Gluck to apply for a grant to modernize her pension. Von Gluck tries in vain to induce her to pay bribes indirectly, whereupon he compliments her without having achieved anything. The next day, when she was looking around for further suggestions for renovation in “Haus Berneck”, she met the state secretary in an apartment, who had obviously prepared for a visit from a dominatrix and who was embarrassed and withdrew to the bathroom.
Mr. Neuper from the investor group wants to expel the dominatrix from the house, but she blackmailed him with compromising photos. A little later she is beaten to hospital maturity - by Neuper, who steals her handbag and takes the negatives from her apartment. With some of them he wants to blackmail politicians.
Erwin Haller is temporarily arrested, among other things because he has removed the police seal from the apartment door; but because he has an alibi for the time of the murder, he is released again.
The autopsy revealed that the head wound had traces of silver and a cervical vertebra was broken. The forensic investigation of Michael Leonberger's truck reveals that his wife was transported in the loading area, whereupon the forwarder is taken into custody.
After the victim's funeral, Benno Berghammer sees that Erika Leonberger's mother has a walking stick with a silver knob and speaks to her about it. She makes a confession; The reason she gives is that her daughter laughed at her when she tried to talk into her conscience about the divorce. But it was not their intention to kill them.
State Secretary von Gluck visits Resi Berghammer at her pension and informs her that her application for a subsidy has been granted in full, but that she should keep quiet. Her son Benno expresses great concern about the way in which subsidies are awarded and finally convinces her to forego them.
