show

course

At the beginning of the broadcast, the presenter greeted the audience and the candidate, who entered the studio at the same time as the greeting. In older programs, the participant was asked whether he wanted to activate so-called additional certificates or not; these bills were about the size of a euro banknote and were added to the money shower. If you caught the red bill, the profit doubled, the yellow imitation of a banknote halved the sum of money. In the season, which aired in 2012, this element was replaced by another. Before the money shower, the participant had to decide - comparable to a shell game - for one of three cards that are face down in front of him. This made it possible to extend the thirty seconds of playing time by ten more seconds. The profit could be doubled with another card. The third card did not bring any advantages. After the candidate had decided on an option, he entered the glass booth called the money shower . After the door fell shut, the moderator gave the command to start with the sentence “On the notes, please go!” And banknotes were directed into the cabin and kept in motion by a wind machine . Now the player tried to catch as many bills as he could. He then put the banknotes into the pockets of his overalls , which were made available to him for the shipment. In the last few seconds, the guest moved into a position that allowed them to catch falling bills after the fan was switched off. The money was then counted. During the count, a spectator game took place in which two spectators had to scratch off a virtual scratch card with fields numbered from 1 to 9. To do this, the first player selected any field, which was then cleared. Below these fields were three images of the Vienna Philharmonic and six rivets. Whoever scratched the third field with a Vienna Philharmonic won one of these coins.

backgrounds

The greeting, introduction of the participants and the shower of money were recorded, the subsequent spectator game was broadcast live.

During the money shower, the candidate was allowed to catch floating bills and put them in the pockets of the overalls. He was never allowed to reach for the nozzles, pick up money from the floor, or take bills from the ceiling or walls. A notary checked whether the rules were being adhered to. Before someone who could qualify can take part in the program, instructions on how to behave and the rules of the game were taught to them in a kind of course.

The highest profit that has been achieved since 2006 was 15,000 euros. The winner came from Carinthia and caught banknotes worth 7,500 euros. With the help of an additional certificate, he was able to double this amount. The money nozzles always transport 63,750 euros into the money shower.

The highest win ever was 29,300 euros.

Off-air appointments

Viewers who scratched off scratch cards with three ORF symbols after the broadcast was over received a supplementary date in autumn. However, these showers of money were not broadcast on television.

First version

In the first 10 years from 1996 to 2006 under the moderation of Alex Krause, the telephone spectator game took place after the Geldscheffeln, whereby the show was divided over time. When Alex Krause had 2 phone candidates, they had to estimate the sum of the Geldscheffel candidate. Then a money counting machine appeared on the screen, which gave the result. Whoever guessed the amount won the Golden Philharmonic.
