The lottery drawing 6 out of 45 with joker is the broadcast of the lottery drawing in Austria on Wednesdays and Sundays on the public broadcaster ORF 2 . The drawing of the winning numbers takes place every Wednesday at 6.47 p.m. and on Sunday at 7.17 p.m. The first lottery drawing of 6 out of 45 took place on September 7, 1986. In Austria, there is also a number 1-90 lottery , which is drawn on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The number lottery was first held on October 21, 1752 under Empress Maria Theresa. Since September 7, 2014, the show has been presented from a new studio. The draws are currently moderated by Evelyn Vysher and Thomas May.

After the opening credits, the maximum winnings from the last lottery draw are discussed. Wednesday Lotto

Until August 31, 1997, the lottery was drawn exclusively on Sunday evening. On September 3, 1997, a lottery drawing was presented for the first time on Wednesday. In contrast to the Wednesday draw in Germany, the same drawing device called the "luck funnel" is used to determine the lottery numbers. In terms of design and space, the Wednesday edition does not differ from the one that is broadcast on television at the end of the week.

LottoPlus

Since September 20, 2017, the Austrian Lotteries have been running LottoPlus as an additional optional bet. After each lottery drawing, six additional numbers are drawn from a separate drawing device, but no additional number and no joker. Participation in LottoPlus costs 50 cents per tip; The same tips are played as in the classic drawing, which is a prerequisite for participating in LottoPlus. There is no jackpot, if there is no six in the respective drawing , the winnings of the 1st prize category will be divided among the winners in the next lower tier.

In 2004 the price of a lottery ticket was increased from 75 cents to 85 cents, four years later the price was increased by a further 15 cents. From 2010 to 2014 a lottery ticket without a joker cost 1.10 euros, currently the cost per ticket is 1.20 euros. The first five-fold jackpot occurred on May 25, 2008. On September 8, 2010, a so-called “Lotto Form” was carried out, which promised a minimum win of 1 million euros for a single six.
