Mongo ( Arabic مونقو, DMG Mūnqū ) is a city in Chad and the capital of the Guéra region . It is located 510 km east of the state capital N'Djamena . The population is 40,233 (2012 figures). Dangla is sometimes spoken .
On April 11, 2006, the center of the city was taken by rebels from the United Front for Change .
